Reporting at the meeting, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Thai Thanh Quy said that right after the 13^th National Congress of the Party and the 19^th Provincial Party Congress, the Provincial Party Committee has focused on leading and directing the development of 21 key programs and projects to focus on implementing. In particular, in public investment, the province's view is that investment has a focus and key points, this is clearly shown in the number of projects selected and decided to invest. Specifically, in the 2021-2025 period, there were only 125 projects, while in the previous period there were more than 1,000 projects deployed. At the same time, the province has issued specific mechanisms for key economic development areas.

Along with that, over the past time, the province has also made efforts to implement solutions to improve the investment environment, especially in the administrative reform implemented from the point of view of shifting from explanations to solutions. Thanks to that, Nghe An is the first time in the group to attract FDI projects with the largest capital in the country. The growth rate of gross regional domestic product (GRDP) in the first 6 months of 2022 reached 8.44%. Budget revenue reached nearly 11 trillion VND. The whole province has 299 communes meeting new rural standards and 7 district-level units completing the task of building new-style rural areas. The COVID-19 prevention and control was directed by the province with the spirit of unity, determination, flexibility and efficiency; COVID-19 vaccination was guaranteed. Cultural and social activities are organized in accordance with the pandemic prevention and control situation, education and training are maintained with good results. Many socio-political events were held solemnly and safely; promptly implemented support policies for employees and employers facing difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The province has also actively supported Laos in the COVID-19 prevention and control; closely coordinated to ensure border security. At the same time, organizing many meaningful activities to celebrate the 60^th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Laos (September 05, 1962 - September 05, 2022); 45 years of signing the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between Vietnam and Laos (July 18, 1977 - July 18, 2022).

According to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Nghe An's "brand" is the homeland of President Ho Chi Minh - a national hero, a world cultural celebrity. Nghe An is also the hometown of Nghe Tinh Soviet, revolutionary tradition. Nghe An people have a tradition of studiousness, intelligence, solidarity and unity.

In terms of culture, Nghe An has Ví and Giặm folk songs - an intangible cultural heritage of mankind, so it is advisable to choose to organize the annual Ví and Giặm folk song festival in the season to attract tourists and overcome seasonal tourism in the year.

Nghe An is known for its large, intelligent, studious, industrious, hard-working population. Being a land of talented people, with the largest area in the country, although most of the area is hilly, it needs to be utilized to develop industrial parks, medicinal growing areas, etc.

Nghe An is also a locality with all types of traffic passing through; connection with Laos is the most convenient in all provinces. Besides, Nghe An is also a province with high achievements in sports, a training cradle for Vietnamese football.

With the results achieved in 2021 and the first 6 months of 2022, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts and try of the province to achieve high growth and good budget revenue, etc. Security and order are maintained. Pointing out the shortcomings, limitations and inadequacies, the Prime Minister requested that in the coming time, Nghe An needs to have more determination, cope with difficulties and challenges to proactively have appropriate and effective solutions.

The Prime Minister requested the province to focus on effectively implementing the Resolution of the 13^th National Party Congress, the Resolution of the Politburo, the Government, and Resolution 36 of the National Assembly on piloting the specific regime for Nghe An province, Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress. Organizing a review of the contents related to the province to determine what to do and to implement immediately.

In addition, provincial leaders continue to deepen their thinking to promote innovative thinking, strategic vision, to maximize outstanding potential, differentiating advantages, competitive opportunities; determine the focus and key points, and at the same time must master the spirit of completing the work completely. Regarding infrastructure development and strategy, the province needs to make three breakthroughs, including: Airport, Cua Lo deep-water port, and Expressway connecting Cua Lo to Uncle Ho's hometown.
